This is what the carpenters consider "finished." (Actually, the hard stuff is done, and we're taking over from here)

Now comes the hard part....waiting. We're having floors throughout the first floor refinished in stages. Have to wait for the floor guy, then wait for the finish to cure. Top coat for the front half of the house goes in tomorrow and we can start putting things back together Thursday or Friday.

Stove, fridge, and microwave are operational (except for the ice maker). We still have some handles to install on cabinets and haven't begun to re-populate them yet. Plumbing won't be finished until countertops are installed, which is still another 10 days away.

Yes, we can get through the hall to the back of the house, but doing so reinforces the diet plan.
